NanoFrontier, a Tohoku University-born Startup, to Exhibit at JASIS 2026 | New Era in Science, Analytical Systems & Solutions
Cutting-edge functional nano-material solutions spanning environmental, energy, and medical applications to be unveiled at Asia’s largest scientific instrumentation exhibition
NanoFrontier Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Sendai, Miyagi; hereinafter “the Company”) will exhibit at JASIS 2026 | New Era in Science, Analytical Systems & Solutions, to be held at Makuhari Messe from Wednesday, September 2 to Friday, September 4, 2026.
JASIS is Asia’s largest specialized exhibition for analytical and measurement instruments, organized by the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association and the Japan Scientific Instruments Association — standing alongside analytica and Pittcon as one of the world’s premier events in the field. In 2025, the exhibition attracted 450 companies and approximately 23,000 attendees, with roughly 50% being end users and approximately 60% being purchase decision-makers or advisors — a high-quality, business-oriented audience.

Exhibition Overview
The Company has built a platform capable of designing and mass-producing nanoparticles with precision, drawing on more than 30 years of proprietary nanoparticle synthesis technology accumulated at Tohoku University’s Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials.
At JASIS 2026, the Company will present a broad range of nano-material solutions spanning environmental, energy, and medical applications. Highlights include: a rapid detection kit for highly sensitive and specific identification of targeted PFAS; a new electrolyte solution delivering low cost and high durability; an ultra-high thermal conductivity coolant for AI data centers, electric vehicles, and batteries; a dehydrogenation catalyst with minimal energy loss; and carrier-free drug delivery approaches designed to reduce side effects. Visitors will be able to explore the full breadth of these applications.
Leveraging the Company’s strength in driving an end-to-end pipeline from research through mass production and international expansion, NanoFrontier will accelerate collaborative research and business partnerships with analytical instrument manufacturers, scientific equipment makers, research institutions, and industrial companies.

The NanoFrontier booth, themed “The Future Unlocked by Nanoparticles,” will offer visitors a comprehensive look at the Company’s state-of-the-art solutions across environmental, energy, and medical domains. The strengths of the Company’s integrated platform — from research to mass production — and the possibilities of its proprietary processes will be presented through a variety of formats, including panels, mini-talks, and hands-on demonstration exhibits.
The Company welcomes visitors who are exploring opportunities for technology collaboration or business co-creation, seeking new applications for nano-materials, or looking to contribute to a sustainable society. We look forward to seeing you at Makuhari Messe.
Planned Exhibits and Presentations
-
Rapid Detection Kit for Targeted PFAS Water Contamination
Leveraging organic nanoparticle technology, the Company will exhibit a simple kit capable of specifically detecting targeted PFAS water contamination with high sensitivity and at low cost. As environmental regulations continue to tighten, this highly deployable approach enables immediate on-site response. -
Cost Reduction in Batteries via New Electrolyte Solutions
The Company will introduce its development outcomes for a new electrolyte solution that eliminates dependence on scarce resources while achieving low cost and high durability. Visitors can explore the Company’s material design approach, which simultaneously addresses resource security and the energy transition. -
Energy-Efficient Thermal Management via Ultra-High Thermal Conductivity Coolants
The Company will unveil an ultra-high thermal conductivity nanofluid coolant designed to address the rapidly growing power consumption challenges of AI data centers and the thermal management needs of electric vehicles and batteries — a practical solution contributing to the sustainability of information infrastructure and mobility. -
Dehydrogenation Reaction Catalyst with Reduced Energy Loss
Through proprietary nanoparticle design, the Company will present a dehydrogenation reaction catalyst that minimizes energy loss — a next-generation catalyst technology supporting the efficient transport and utilization of hydrogen energy. -
Carrier-Free Drug Delivery to Reduce Side Effects
The Company will exhibit a novel nanoparticle-based DDS (Drug Delivery System) approach that requires no drug carrier. Visitors can explore the potential of this medical application, which simultaneously reduces the risk of side effects and enhances therapeutic efficacy.
